Łowicz County is a powiat in Łódź Voivodeship, in Poland. Łowicz County was created on January 1, 1999. It was made during a reform of the Polish local government in 1998. The main town and capital of the county is Łowicz. It is 48 kilometres (30 miles) north-east of Łódź, the capital of the voivodeship. The county is 987.13 square kilometres (381.1 square miles) in size. In 2020, about 82,338 people lived in the county.[1]
