On the day of 25th October, 1983, the United States Navy bombed the Richmond Hill Mental Hospital of Grenada. The bombing took place during the invasion of Grenada by the United States.
The president of the United States at the time was Ronald Reagan (1981–1989), on 25 October, 1983, President Reagan, along with many Carribean nations including Jamaica, invaded Grenada. Reagan said that he was concering about 600 US medical students' safety in Grenada.
The bombing committed by the US Navy was an accident according to multiple sources.[1][2][3] In the aftermath, 18 was killed and 30 was injured.
