The tournament was for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college basketball. The winner of it was the national champion for the 2023–24 college basketball season. The tournament started on March 19, 2024. It ended on April 8. The championship game was between the UConn Huskies and Purdue Boilermakers. The Huskies won against the Boilermakers by 15 points (75–60). This was the sixth time the Huskies won the national championship.
