On July 24, 2025, Angara Airlines Flight 2311, an Antonov An-24 plane from Angara Airlines with 43 passengers, including 5 children, and 6 crew, crashed on a mountainside near Tynda in Amur Oblast, Russia.[1] Emergency services said there are no survivors.[2] It was a domestic flight flying to Tynda in Amur Oblast.[3]

Passengers and crew

Different sources gave different numbers of people onboard. Amur Oblast governor, Vasily Orlov, said there were 42 passengers and 6 crew. Meanwhile the Russian emergency ministry said there were 40 onboard.[1]

Flight

Interfax said the flight went through the cities of Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Tynda. It was near Tynda when it disappeared from radar. The plane failed its first landing at Tynda airport and tried again but did not report at a checkpoint.[4] The incident was reported by Interfax.[5]

The burning wreckage was found by a rescue helicopter 15 km (9.3 mi) from Tynda.[6] Russian media said the wreckage was in a mountainside with no survivors.[2]
