The ceasefire between Iran and Israel took place on 23 June 2025 when United States President Donald Trump called for a ceasefire after both countries have been fighting for 11 days[a] during the Iran–Israel war.[1] But the ceasefire only approved by both on 25 June.
Initally, Iran said no ceasefire proposals have made, but did say would stop if Israel stop its hostility.[2] The ceasefire happened after Trump ordered an attack on nuclear sites in Iran on 22 June and claiming one has destroyed.[3] Just before the ceasefire, Iran launched six strikes on US base in Qatar to retaliate. Although the ceasefire was activated on 24 June, both countries and even Trump have accused both Iran and Israel for violation. Iran and Israel stopped fighting following the ceasefire.
