28 Years Later is an post-apocalyptic horror movie. It is expected to be released on 20 June 2025.[4] It was directed by Danny Boyle. He also helped co-produce it with Alex Garland, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernie Bellew.[5] It is the third movie in the 28 Days Later trilogy, following the 2002 movie 28 Days Later and the 2007 movie 28 Weeks Later. A sequel to 28 Years Later titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple was shot back-to-back.[6]
Plot
In the movie, a group of survivors on a British island try to live their lives while surrounded by people infected with the Rage Virus. A young boy goes out to search for a doctor to try and help his mother who is dying.[7]

Principal photography began on 7 May 2024 in Northumberland and finished on 29 July.[8][9]
