6-7 (meme)

The 6-7 meme (en) is an Internet meme and slang term. The meme started in early 2025 on TikTok and Instagram Reels.[1] It comes from the lyric "6-7" in the song "Doot Doot (6 7)" by Skrilla. This song was used in social media in video edits. The video edits showed professional basketball players like LaMelo Ball who is 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 meters) tall.[2][3][4] The term "6-7" became popular as slang Generation Alpha and Generation Z.[5][6] In the summer of 2025, a boy became known as the "6-7 Kid" after a viral video showed him saying the word at an Amateur Athletic Union basketball game.[7][8]
