Abe Waddington

Abraham Waddington (4 February 1893 – 28 October 1959) was an English professional cricketer who was born in the village of Thornton, near Bradford. He was a left arm fast-medium bowler who took 852 wickets in his first-class career, with a best return of 8/34. Besides being a useful lower order batter, he was a good fielder who held 232 catches in his 266 matches. Waddington played for Yorkshire from 1919 to 1927, and in two Test matches for England against Australia in 1920/21.[1]

He also played football for Halifax Town.
