Agrarianism
Agrarianism is a political and social belief that supports agriculture (farming).[1] It is also a way of life.[2]
Agrarian political parties are supportive of farmers (particularly small farmers and peasants) and their right to farm.[1] Agrarian politics date back to ancient times, but they gained the most popularity in early America.[2] Thomas Jefferson, William Jennings Bryan, and Robert La Follette supported agrarianism.[2]
Agrarianism's popularity has been steadily declining for the past hundred years.[2]
