Ahmedabad Airport, officially named the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), is the main international gateway to Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat, India. Located about 9 km north of central Ahmedabad in Hansol, it serves as a pivotal hub for both domestic and international air travel.[2]
It had over 13 million passengers in the fiscal years 2024–25, making it the seventh-busiest airport in India.
It's named after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister of India.
