Air Buddies
Air Buddies is the 6th movie Comedy-drama in the Air Bud movie series. It is also the first movie in the Air Buddies movie series. It was released in 2006 by Walt Disney Home Entertainment. The movie was directed by Robert Vince.
Plot
ever since buddy had one his first championship ever, things had been the same between the pups. Buddy and Molly soon have puppies: B-Dawg, Rosebud, Buddha, Mudbud, and Budderball. B-Sawg it’s frustrated because his pops always tell him that he can’t do whatever he wants to do, much to his frustration.
One day, while chasing after a ball, B-Dawg gets captured by Selkirk. The pups come to rescue him, but they are also captured and sold away to a sportsmanship building, where they are free to buy a pitbull named Ace. Ace decides to welcome the pups in on the condition, they don’t reveal his surprise in front of anyone. Rosebud has a hard time warming up to the new surroundings, mud always has to get cleaned now and then, much to his discomfort, Budderball is overcome with stinky things, and Buddha keep going to Ace when he has bad dreams. Ace eventually warms up to B-Dawg and promises to protect him from Selkirk on the condition they help him with his sportsmanship.
Buddy and Molly go to find their puppies. Sellkirk attempts to look for the puppies, trying to sabotage the baseball game. After the pups managed to win by playing baseball, Ace welcomes them into the team. However, he accidentally lets the secret loose of butterball by revealing that he is actually just a TV actor. Budderball goes to inform the pups the news and captured. The pups go to rescue him, while B-Sawg is heartbroken that Ace decides to do one last test with him: Prove that he can win every kind of sport.
When they arrive at Sellkirk’s factory, Ace is knocked out and fed by a poisonous paintbrush filled with green paint, a substance that Buddha had once smelled while at aces. When Ace awakens, they are in a cage, and upon butterball telling the pups that Ace has not won, a heartbroken B-Dawg refuses to talk to him. Ace opens up to him and they reconciled, managing escape with the help from B-Dawg re-creating one of his dad‘s baseball moves to open the cages. They escape by hopping on the bus, eventually crashing safely into the game.
Sellkirk challenges them to play a game Of basketball and the pups comply. Each each of them lose in one of the obstacles: rosebud is trapped in a net field with both, Buddha ends up, overcome by falling into a container, filth with socks (thankfully he’s managed to be pulled out passed out from the terrible smell), Budderball ends up, falling into the mud, and Mudbud ends up, falling into a canister filled with water. Ace and B-Dawg successfully win the games after using good sportsmanship to help the other pups. Buddy and Molly appear and fight off Selkirk by barking at him and tearing off his shirt, revealing him as a fraud. He is soon arrested.
The pups thank ace for his assistance, and he announces that he was a former partner with Buddy. Eventually, the pups move in their new home, where B-Dawg playfully converses with his father.
