Alon Moni Abutbul (May 28, 1965 – July 29, 2025) was an Israeli movie and television actor. Abutbul is known for his role as Dr. Leonid Pavel in Christopher Nolan's 2012 movie The Dark Knight Rises.
In 2005, he was voted the 158th-greatest Israeli of all time, in a poll by the Israeli news website Ynet to determine who the general public considered the 200 Greatest Israelis.[1] Abutbul has appeared in more than 50 years and have a career of 33 years.
Personal life
Abutbul was born in Kiryat, Israel on May 28, 1965. He was married to Shir Bilya. They had four children together.
On 29 July 2025, Abutbul died after collapsing at a beach near HaBonim, Israel after swimming at the age of 60.[2]
