Alta (municipality)
Alta, or Áltá, is a municipality in Norway's northernmost county, Finnmark.
Settlements include the town of Alta.
Administration
The municipal council is elected until late 2027.

(The 35 council members were elected during the 2023 Norwegian local elections.)
Sports
The bicycle races Offroad Finnmark, start and end in Alta; The longest race is 700 km.[3]
Alta IF has a football team, at the second-highest level in the country.
