André De Maerteleire (30 March 1944 – 3 January 2025) was a Belgian road bicycle racer during the 1960s.
Born in Eke in 1944, he started competing in 1960. He rode professionally for Leroux-Terrot in 1966 and Flandria-De Clerck from 1967 to 1968. He competed at highest level international competitions. He had four podium finishes at stages at the Volta a Portugal, a podium finish in a stage at the 1968 Tour de Suisse and a podium finish at the Circuit d'Auvergne. He also competed at the La Flèche Wallonne, Four Days of Dunkirk and Paris – Luxembourg.[1][2][3]
He lived in Nazareth. He died on 3 January 2025 at the age of 80 years old. His funeral took place in Nazareth on 11 January 2025.[2]
