the Anglo-Iraqi War, was a British-led allied military campaign during the Middle East Theatre of World War II against the Kingdom of Iraq who was led by Rashid Ali al-Gaylani who seized power during a Coup d'état that was supported by Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Vichy France. the war resulted in an allied victory and a British occupation of the country and a pro-allied government installed.
