Animal Justice Party Aotearoa New Zealand

The Animal Justice Party Aotearoa New Zealand is a small political party in New Zealand. It wants better laws to protect animals. The party started in 2022. Its ideas are like the Animal Justice Party in Australia.

Goals

The party wants to stop animal cruelty. It supports:

  • Ending animal farming,
  • Stopping hunting and animal testing,
  • Making laws for animals to have rights.

The party also wants to help the environment and fight climate change by reducing meat and dairy farming.[1]

Elections

The party registered in January 2023.[2]

It took part in the 2023 general election. It got about 0.17% of the party vote, which was not enough to win any seats in Parliament.[3]
