Anthony Davis, Jr. (born March 11, 1993) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for the New Orleans Hornets / Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers. He plays power forward and center.
On February 2, 2025, the Lakers traded Davis along with Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Dončić, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris. Jalen Hood-Schifino and a 2025 second-round pick were also traded to the Utah Jazz. The Jazz also received a 2025 second-round pick from the Mavericks.[1] It is considered to be one of the most unexpected trades in NBA history.[2]
