Anthony Newley (24 September 1931 – 14 April 1999) was an English actor, director, comedian, singer, and composer. He wrote the music and lyrics for the movies Doctor Dolittle and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
Newley died on 14 April 1999, in Jensen Beach, Florida, from renal cancer at the age of 67.[1]
