Appliance
An appliance is a machine that only has limited functionality. A prosthesis is an example. Many appliances need electricity to work.
- Household appliances are devices used for tasks such as cleaning (for example, vacuum cleaners) or cooking. Appliances that are portable and easy to carry are generally classified as small appliances.
- Major appliances are big machines like dishwashers and refrigerators.
