Appliance

An appliance is a machine that only has limited functionality. A prosthesis is an example. Many appliances need electricity to work.

  • Household appliances are devices used for tasks such as cleaning (for example, vacuum cleaners) or cooking. Appliances that are portable and easy to carry are generally classified as small appliances.
  • Major appliances are big machines like dishwashers and refrigerators.
  • A Fire appliance is the name of a fire engine the firefighters use to extinguish a fire
