Ashok Gasti
Ashok Gasti (1965 – 17 September 2020) was an Indian politician and a lawyer. He was born in Raichur, Karnataka. He represented Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha for less than 3 months until his death in 2020.[1] He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[2]
Early life and education
Ashok Gasti was born in 1965 in Raichur. He studied law and became a lawyer. He worked in the legal field before entering politics. He was interested in helping people and serving his community.
Political career
Gasti was active in politics with the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2020, he was chosen to represent the state of Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha, which is the upper house of India's Parliament. Unfortunately, he was only in this role for less than three months.[3]
Death
Ashok Gasti died on 17 September 2020 because of COVID-19. He was treated at a hospital near Udupi, Karnataka. He was 55 years old when he died. His death was mourned by many leaders and people from across Karnataka.[4][5]
