Ayer is a village and former municipality in the district of Sierre in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
On 1 January 2009, the former municipalities of Ayer, Chandolin, Grimentz, Saint-Jean, Saint-Luc and Vissoie merged into the new municipality of Anniviers.
