Bärbel Bas (German pronunciation: [bɛʁbl̩ baːs]; born 3 May 1968) is a German politician. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). She was the 14th president of the Bundestag from 2021 to 2025.[1] She has been a member of the German Bundestag since the federal election in 2009.
