The BYD Shark is a mid-size Plug-in hybrid Pickup truck made by BYD since 2024.
History and Features
In April 2024 BYD said it would be naming its first Pickup truck "Shark".[2] it was launched in Mexico in May its the first time a BYD vehicle debuts outside China.[3] it has the DMO Super Hybrid plataform and shares it with the Fangchengbao Bao 5.
It has a 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine combined with two electric motors in each axle this creates a electric four-wheel drive layout with a total power of 429 hp (320 kW).[4] while the Pickup Truck has a E-CVT transmission.
Markets
The BYD Shark is currently sold in Mexico,[5] Brazil,[6] Australia, New Zealand,[7] [8] and Laos (in the last three, it is sold as the BYD Shark 6). The BYD Shark is not sold in China.
