Barberêche (German: Bärfischen; Arpitan: Barberêtse [2]) was a municipality of the district of See in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It lies on the "language boundary" between the French- and German-speaking parts of Switzerland. On 1 January 2017, the former municipalities of Barberêche, Villarepos and Wallenried merged into the municipality of Courtepin.[3]
