Barbie Girl

"Barbie Girl" is a dance-pop hit song from the Danish music group Aqua. The single was released in 1997. Its lyrics are about Barbie and Ken, the toys from Mattel.

The song was very popular. It was #1 across the music charts of certain countries. It was in the Top 20 charts in the United States.

Barbie Girl also caused controversy at various times[1][2], and in 1998 Mattel sued Aqua's record company for copyright infringement.[3]
