Bermondsey tube station

Bermondsey Underground Station is located on the eastern part of Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark. The station also serves the western part of Rotherhithe in south-east London. The Station in Travelcard Zone 2 is on the Jubilee Line as part of the Jubilee Line Extension between London Bridge and Canada Water stations.

Originally, the station was intended to be a multi-story car park, with an complexative office on the top but plans in 2007 was turned into underground stations.

History

The station was designed by Ian Ritchie Architects and was opened 17 September 1999.
