Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether

Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (acronym BADGE or DGEBA) is an organic compound. It is an ingredient in epoxy resin.

Preparation

BADGE is made by alkylation of the hydroxy groups of bisphenol A. Epichlorohydrin is the main reactant, and produces hydrochloric acid as a byproduct.
