Breitling is a Swiss watch manufacturer. Headquartered in Grenchen and founded in Saint-Imier, the company has been producing watches and timepieces almost continuously since 1884[1]. Breitling primarily produces chronometer-certified watches with themes inspired by pilots and aviation. Its primary focus is on relatively large watches, often with chronograph complications. Breitling offers both mechanical and quartz watches.[2]
All Breitling watches are manufactured in Switzerland, with components predominantly sourced from Switzerland. All movements used in Breitling watches have undergone chronometer certification by the COSC. Since 2009, Breitling has become a so-called manufacture, as they produce a chronograph movement entirely designed, manufactured, and assembled in-house, the caliber B01.[3]
