Bvlgari is an Italian brand of jewelry and luxury goods (jewelry, watches, perfumes, leather goods and hospitality products), part of the French conglomerate LVMH[1]. The company, which began in Rome, Italy, in 1884, gained prominence as a jewelry store, although its product range has grown over time to include watches, bags, fragrances, accessories and hotels.[2]
Origin of the name
The name is often written as Bvlgari as in the classical Latin alphabet (where V = U) and originates from the surname of the company's Greek founder, Sotirios Vulgaris (Greek: Σωτήριος Βούλγαηρ, pronounced ˈvulɣaris], Italian: Sotirio Bulgari, 1857–1932).[3]
