"Bye Bye Bye" is a dance-pop song under the American boy band NSYNC. The song was released on January 17, 2000 off their third studio album No Strings Attached. The song lyrics talk about the end of a relationship.

"Bye Bye Bye" was a strong success. It peaked at #4 on the United States "Billboard" Hot 100. It also peaked in the top 10 in every country in which it charted. The song got a Grammy nomination for Best Record of the Year. But it lost to U2's "Beautiful Day". The song resurged in popularity in 2024 after it was featured in the film Deadpool & Wolverine.[1][2]

Background

"Bye Bye Bye" was originally intended to be recorded by the English boy band 5ive, but they angrily turned it down as they wanted to become a rap band, and was offered to NSYNC instead.[3]
