COVID-19 pandemic in North Carolina

The COVID-19 pandemic began affecting North Carolina on March 22, 2020.[1] As of May 2021 North Carolina had the 10th highest number of confirmed cases for the United States[2]

During the pandemic in North Carolina, almost 5,800 people died from the COVID or its complications.
