The COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to have reached North Macedonia in February 2020.[3]
Cases
The first case in the country was mainly connected with the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy as there are about 70,000 residents[4] of Italy from North Macedonia. This resulted in many people returning to North Macedonia, bringing the virus with them.[5] It was confirmed in 26 February.
