COVID-19 pandemic in South Carolina

The COVID-19 pandemic first entered South Carolina in March 2020. That same year on April 2 the South Carolina Departments of Health and Environmental Controls announced that the virus was in all the State's forty-six counties.[1] Around 18,200 people were killed by the virus or its complications during the pandemic in the State.
