The Cadillac Catera is a mid-size luxury Sedan made by Cadillac from 1996 to 2001.
History and Features
The Cadillac Catera was previewed by the Cadillac LSE concept at the Detroit Auto Show in 1994 then at the Detroit Montreal Vancouver and Toronto auto shows a early-production model was shown in 1996.[1] Cadillac later began selling the Catera in the United States in 1996 as a 1997 model the Catera was a rebadged Opel Omega being sold as Cadillac's entry-level model that targeted young buyers.
It has a 3.0 liter V6 engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission it was improved in 2000.[2]
Markets
The Cadillac Catera was sold mainly in The American market but also in Canada and Middle East.
Discontinuation
The Cadillac Catera was discontinued in 2001 due to weak sales and marketing campaign that didint reach young buyers it was later replaced by the Cadillac CTS.
