Canada men's national cricket team
In the sport of cricket, the Canada men's team is administered by Cricket Canada, which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1968. Canada played their first One Day International (ODI) in 1979, having qualified for that year's edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. They now hold ODI status within the ICC.[1]
Canada played in cricket's first-ever international match, which was against the United States in 1844. Canada won the match by 23 runs. It was played on the St George's Club Ground, New York City, between 24 and 26 September.[2]
