The Center for American Progress (CAP) is a public policy research and lobbying organization. They are liberal[2] in their economic and social issues. The headquarters for CAP are in Washington, D.C.
Neera Tanden is their president and chief executive officer. She is a democrat and she used to be a government official.[3] The first president and CEO of the company was John Podesta. He was the White House Chief of Staff to US President Bill Clinton. He was also the chairman of the 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.[4] He quit when he joined the Obama White House staff in December 2013.
