Cheiraoba

Meitei Cheiraoba or Sajibu Cheiraoba or Sajibu Nongma Panba or Meitei Manipuri New Year Festival is a festival celebrated by the Meitei ethnicity in the 1st lunar day of the "Sajibu" month of the Meitei calendar (Manipuri calendar). The celebration is mainly observed by the Meitei people who follow Sanamahism.[1][2]

Outside India

Cheiraoba (ꯆꯩꯔꯥꯎꯕ), or Sajibu Cheiraoba (ꯁꯖꯤꯕꯨ ꯆꯩꯔꯥꯎꯕ), is celebrated by Meitei diaspora community in Australia,[3][4][5][6] Korea,[7][8][9] the United States, among others.[10]
