Chelyabinsk

Chelyabinsk is a city in the Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. The city is south of the Ural Mountains, on the Miass River, and on the border of Europe and Asia. However Chelyabinsk is located in the European part of Russia, where the ural mountains make the division.[1] The city has a population of 1,177,058.[2] As of 2024, the temporary head of the city is Alexander Astakhov. On February 15, 2013, a meteor hit the city.[3]
