Christian Fürstaller (born December 30, 1964 in Piesendorf, Austria) is a former Austrian football player. He played as defender mainly for SV Austria Salzburg. He also played for the Austrian national football team.
Career
Christian Fürstaller was discovered by Hannes Winklbauer at FC Zell am See in 1984. He moved to Austria Salzburg. There he was part of Salzburg's championship-winning team in 1994 and 1995. His position was defender. Another success was reaching the UEFA Cup final with SV Austria Salzburg. He ended his football career in 1996.
From the 1980s to 2003 he worked in the Logistics company of Rudolf Quehenberger, the President of Austria Salzburg. Then he started a career in this buisness.
International
He debuted for the Austrian national football team on 13 November 1994 versus Portugal. His last match was on 6 September 1995 versus Ireland. He played five matches. [1]
