Christian L. Mitchell (born 1986/1987) is an American politician and academic. He represented the 26th district in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. He was the executive director of the Democratic Party of Illinois during the 2018 election cycle. He was the first African-American to hold the position.[1] Since 2023, he has been the Vice President for Civic Engagement at the University of Chicago.[2][3]

In July 2025, Governor JB Pritzker announced that Mitchell would be his running mate in the 2026 election.[4]
