Minister (Christianity)

In Christianity, a minister is a person who is given authority by a church or other religious group to do special jobs. These jobs can include teaching about the faith, leading services such as weddings, baptisms, or funerals, and giving spiritual help to people.

The word minister comes from the Latin word minister, which means "servant" or "helper".
