Claude Allègre (fr; 31 March 1937 – 4 January 2025) was a French politician and scientist. He was the Minister of National Education from 1997 to 2000 during the Jacques Chirac government.
Allègre died on 4 January 2025 in Paris, France at the age of 87.[1]
