The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is made up of Black members of the United States Congress. Representative Yvette Clarke from New York is the current chairperson. Although most members belong to the Democratic Party, the CBC founders wanted it to be a non-partisan organization, and there have been several times that Republicans joined the caucus.[2][3][4][5]
