Contrexéville is a commune. It is in Grand Est in the Vosges department in northeast France.
The mineral springs of Contrexéville have been known locally for many years, but became widely known only towards the end of the 18th century. The reputation of Contrexéville as a mineral spa dates back to 1864, when it was developed by a company, the Société des Eaux de Contrexéville. It is known for its mineral water brand Contrex.
