Cristóbal Ortega Martínez (25 July 1956 – 2 January 2025) was a Mexican professional footballer. He played as a midfielder for América in the Mexican Primera División from 1974 to 1992. He also played for the Mexico national team, making twenty-four appearances from 1977 to 1986.
Ortega died on 2 January 2025 at a hospital in Mexico City from cancer, aged 68.[1][2]
