Csobád
Csobád is a village in Encs District of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County. Its population in 2024 was 693.
Location
It is located about 25 km northeast of Miskolc, about halfway between Szikszó and Encs.
History
The name Csobád first appeared in 1323 as Chabad. In 1329 the village already had a church.

Population
In 2022, 84.9% of the population identified as Hungarian, 16.1% as Gypsy, 0.5% as Armenian, 0.3% as Rusyn, 0.3% as German, 0.2% as Greek, 0.2% as Romanian, 0.2% as Ukrainian, 1.4% as other non-nationality (14.8% did not declare; due to dual identities, the total may be higher than 100%). By religion, 34.3% were Roman Catholic, 9.5% Reformed, 11% Greek Catholic, 0.2% other Christian, 0.2% Israelite, 8% non-denominational (36.7% did not respond).[10]
