The topmouth culter (Culter alburnus) is a species of culter that lives in East Asia. It is the type species of the genus Culter.
Description
The topmouth culter has a sharp head. Not much is known about its description, though.
Distribution and habitat

This culter occurs in Buir Lake and the Onon and Kherlen Rivers.
Its habitat
Culter alburnus lives in rivers that have lots of aquatic plants.
Human relationships
Usage as food
The topmouth culter is highly regarded for its yummy and unique flavor. They are also one of the most valuable freshwater fish species in China.[2]
