Cupola
A cupola is an architectural element placed atop the roof of a building, consisting of a turret or enclosed gazebo with windows all around. Cupolas serve several purposes, especially decorative and for ventilation to help regulate a building's internal temperature. If large enough with a way to climb up into it, the cupola becomes a belvedere. Cupolas can also be found on some types of vehicles, such as cabooses on trains.
