"Daisies" is a song by American singer Katy Perry. It was released on May 15, 2020. Perry wrote the song with Jonathan Bellion, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Jordan K. Johnson, Stefan Johnson, and Michael Pollack. The song was produced by The Monsters & the Strangerz.[1]
The song debuted at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2] It peaked at number four in Scotland, reached the top 20 in both Croatia and Hungary, and climbed to number 27 in Ireland.
Background
On May 7, 2020, Perry announced on social media that her new single "Daisies" would be released on May 15.[3] She also shared the cover art, showing her smiling in a field of yellow daisies.[4] To promote the song and celebrate Mother’s Day, she launched "Katy's Daisies," a digital flower shop where people could send free virtual bouquets.[5] A remix by MK was released on May 29, 2020.[6]
