Darren Bailey (born March 17, 1966)[2] is an American politician. He is a Republican. He was a member of the Illinois Senate for the 55th district from 2021 to 2023. Before, he was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives. He was the Republican nominee for Governor of Illinois in the 2022 election. He is running for governor again in the 2026 election.[3]
Bailey is a conservative.[4][5]
